MakeCode for the micro:bit – 2020 Release

Many of the important features are already announced on the Beta, But finally its here the Stable of 2020 MakeCode for the micro:bit and its now available at https://makecode.microbit.org!

Here in New MakeCode 2020 you will get many New features:

Functions with return values

Not Getting Enough Functions! previously they added Functions with Parameters, everyone like it a lot and from that day we were waiting for more new features, So they find some interesting thing to add and they did with "functions with Return Values" Sounds Great Isn't!! In this you can navigate to a function at around your code called from. 

Expand/Collapse blocks

As many of us writing a large block program which was hard to navigate. This new update "Expand/Collapse Block" helps a lot in our case now people can Collapse and Expand Cluster of Blocks and function and make program more organised.


Python language support

Now we'll get support for the Python programming language as well as JavaScript in MakeCode for Minecraft. It is a positive feedback from Educators about this.

In-context translation

It’s easier than ever to localize MakeCode for your language.

Debugger

Added debug capabilities to both Block and Text editors. Debuggers are critical tools to help students understand the state of their program execution flow. 

GitHub projects

Store your MakeCode projects in a GitHub repository.

Web USB

Now Just pair your USB device to you Microsoft EDGE Browser or Chrome Browser and download directly to the micro:bit only thing you need latest firmware on your micro:bit device.
